JGC Plant Solutions, (JPS), which specializes in supplying plant engineering and human resources services, highly values personal information as among its most important corporate assets and considers itself socially responsible to protect the information.
JPS observes applicable laws and standards regarding personal information and endeavors to closely manage and protect personal information under its Personal Information Privacy Policy established as follows.
'Personal Information' is information that can identify a specific person, such as by name, age, date of birth, telephone number and e-mail address. It also includes information that can be readily collated with other information to enable such identification.
JPS uses personal information it obtains to secure employment opportunities for those who have registered with it and manage personnel affairs after its employment of them. JPS does not use personal information for any other purpose.
JPS does not disclose personal information on any person to third parties without his or her consent, except in the specific cases noted below:
- JPS has the consent of the person who supplied the information.
- JPS is disclosing information that cannot identify an individual, such as in the form of statistics by age.
- JPS discloses information for business purposes to other companies, such as agencies and subcontractors, which have already signed a non-disclosure or secrecy agreement with JPS.
- Information has been requested by legal institutions, such as the police, public prosecutors offices and courts.
- Information is requested by law, regulations, etc.
- JPS is forced to disclose an individual's information, without his or her consent, to save his or her life, secure his or her safety or protect his or her property.
To keep personal data in its hands accurate and up-to-date and prevent unauthorized access, loss, falsification or leaks thereof, JPS places such personal data under its adequate management, both administratively and technologically.
If an individual should desire to check, revise or delete his or her information registered with it, JPS will take necessary measures reasonably, respecting his or her such wishes.
Complying with Japanese laws, regulations and standards regarding the protection of personal information that are applicable to personal information in its hands, JPS will continue to improve and develop activities for the protection of personal information, closely addressing each principles of its Personal Information Protection Policy.
